To put it simply, this whole site was set up so that family and friends could keep track of what was going on in the run up to our wedding. It all seemed like a good idea at the time: we'd recently gotten engaged and I quite fancied having a go at designing and running a website.
Little did we know that it would be such a time-consuming project. As if we didn't have enough to do at the time! I suppose you make it as hard as you want it to be. The electronic diary was probably the most time-consuming part of setting this whole thing up, but, looking back at it now, the diary is a reminder to me of all the things we went through to make the day the day it was.
That was 2003. So what's next?
To be honest, we're not sure. We keep on adding to the wedding stuff (pictures and the like), but it's edging towards a natural conclusion. We have a few interests, such as riding our tandem around the countryside, but I'm not sure how interesting that will be to you lot out there. Not that I'm saying you found the rest of the site interesting, of course :) I have had a couple of emails from people simply saying "How sad". Hey ho. The internet's full of self-indulgent irrelevant crud by people you're never likely to meet.
For now, we're going to let the site run and see what happens. If anything interesting comes up, we'll let you know. If you have any suggestions, let us know!
